There is great debate about how palm oil can never be certified sustainable, however it is in many household products and foods that we use everyday. We at mucklathersoaps, choose to include palm oil in our soaps because we are supporting small villages in Malaysia that have and use generations-old plantations to harvest and process the raw product – our support assists the whole village to benefit from ecological farming practices. Palm oil helps to bring hardness and long lasting qualities to the finished soap.
